I am tired of being afraid to walk into 7-11 in the middle of the day. I am pissed off when men gawk and mutter at me. I am irritated that “they just think you’re pretty” is supposed to be a good enough excuse. I am pissed off that people do not realize that even slightly sexist comments contribute to our rape culture.

It’s a form of violence in the way that we look at women and how we expect them to look and be, for… what’s sake? Not health, not survival, not enjoyment of life, but just so that you can look ‘pretty’.
